The Clinton-Obama Fusion, Ordained by Obamessiah Himself!

As we stated in a previous post President Elect - Barack Obama intends on following the advice. “Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.”

This morning, Obama officially named Sen. Hillary Clinton (and former campaign rival) to serve as Secretary of State. Some may call this the “ultimate act of benevolence,” or just a smart political move.

But, who in their right mind would appoint an individual who they once critiqued as not having “sufficient foreign policy experience,” or better yet labeled as “likable enough, to head the US State Department.

Please keep in mind, we are not talking about the Secretary of Commerce, or even Secretary of Health (which Clinton would probably be more qualified to run - that is if you consider a failed health care initiative past experience.)

So, why Secretary of State?

Maybe eight years of firsthand observation is just as important as firsthand experience.

I was pleasantly surprised upon learning he was keeping Bob Gates as Secretary of Defense. Mr. Obama, just like Secretary Gates, couldn’t you think of another qualified individual to be the country’s top diplomat?

For all intensive purposes we are dealing with some of the largest foreign policy issues since the Cold War: two Middle Eastern conflicts, rapidly growing threats from China and Russia, a Middle Eastern country (Iran), who is pursuing nuclear capabilities and would prefer to have us and one of our closest allies (Israel) obliterated. Shall I go on?

So, with our long list of global crisis growing, who do we have to represent the world’s only superpower on the world stage?

Please welcome the Former - First Lady of the United States! (Insert Music).

Looks like we are combining the in-experience of the President - Elect with the experience . . . no, wait… with the in-experience of Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

This is just another classic reason why FuckYouObama.com was started in the first place. Decisions like these deserve all the FUO love we can muster up.

How do you go from political foe to right hand man . . . err lady? This is the reality for Hillary Clinton as she steps into the shoes and problems of Condoleezza Rice with her new role as Secretary of State.

Now that she will be in-fact answering the phone of death at 3 a.m. to keep our country safe our suggestion would be is to buy a really nice espresso machine. She is going to need the extra juice to cope with the threats against the USA which lurk round-the-clock.

Is Obama setting himself up to be a figure head?

I doubt Hillary Clinton is going to cruise the world promoting President Obama’s agenda as Secretary of State. At least this was my take on Condoleezza Rice. You never got the feeling that she intended to oust her leader, instead at all times she was at his side lifting him up, no matter how wrong it seemed to be.

I just can’t see Hillary doing that, she is one ambitious mama and given the chance she would cut his political throat in a heartbeat.

Obama keeps comparing himself with Abraham Lincoln in the sense that Lincoln headed around himself his political foes in order to create a momentum leading forward.

The HUGE difference is that Lincoln won the election with 40% of the vote; the majority of the country had not cast their vote towards him. Obama on the other hand won with a landslide victory and has no need to cater to anyone but the majority who did vote for him.

At the end of the day, I think Obama made a huge mistake and appears to be doing nothing but “Driving Miss Hillary” to the top. But hey . . hes a ‘House Negro’ what else can you expect.

S.O.S. Hillary as Secretary of State?

The press and blogosphere are a-buzz with the prospect of Hillary accepting the job of Secretary of State under the Obama administration. The notion that she is so ready-and-willing to accept the job is rumored to be inaccurate based on one Clinton insider.

“A lot of the speculation and reporting is out ahead of the facts here,” said the insider, who requested anonymity. “She is still weighing this, independent of President Clinton’s work.”

The press has been touting that as soon as the Obama hounds are done sniffing through Billy’s financial records . . . a formal proposal will be made.

While she says she is “Torn” between her life of public service (cough cough - BS) and the position of Secretary of State, she has still received welcoming remarks from the likes of Henry Kissinger and her own love bug of a husband . . . Bill Clinton.

Here is our prediction:

#1 - Clinton will be offered a secretary of state position and this has been the plan since Hillary and Obama’s secret fire side chat before the primaries were over.

#2 - Clinton will accept this job with “humility” and grace; after all she knows she is not going to run for president in 2012. Her eyes are already set on 2016. . .

#3 - Mark Cuban will be abducted by Aliens (just checking to see if you’re reading this far down).

Regardless, it’s not a done deal yet, but one can’t discount the seriousness of the “buzz” considering how hard Mr. President Elect Obama staff is digging through financial records.

If the offer does come, do we really think she’s going to turn it down?
