Obama Administration Apologizes to Shirley Sherrod for Ruining Her Life
August 19, 2010 by Michael Lockheart · Leave a Comment
Unfortunately, science has not yet created a machine that would allow us to travel backwards along the fourth dimension to a point in spacetime when it would have been considered advantageous to behave as principled adults and reconsider our actions.
So, I guess Shirley Sherrod will just have to settle for a few lame apologies from Robert Gibbs and Tom Vilsack…
Former Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod says she wants to discuss racial issues with President Obama, but there’s need for him to apologize for her wretched week…
Sherrod got apologies from press secretary Robert Gibbs and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, but says, “I can’t say the president is fully behind me.” She says Obama is not a person who “has experienced some of the things I’ve experienced in life.”
I don’t know. Let me think about this? Has he ever been completely fucked over in the most nauseatingly craven way imaginable by top government officials and had his career and good name offered as sacrifice to blatant partisans and documented peddlers of politically-charged lies?
I’m gonna have to check, but my instincts say that he hasn’t. So, she might be right about this.

Rep. Leo Berman Calls Obama “God’s Punishment on Us,” Swears to Get Even with God
June 10, 2010 by Michael Lockheart · 1 Comment
While speaking at a Glenn Beck “Taking Back America” event in Texas over the weekend, Rep. Leo Berman (R-TX) made the unorthodox claim that Barack Obama’s current position as President of the United States is a matter of divine providence before informing the crowd that he and his fellow party members would stand together defy the very will of The Almighty.
I mean, that is what he’s saying here, right?
I believe that Barack Obama is God’s punishment on us today, but in 2012, we are going to make Obama a one-term president.
Is there some other way can that that be interpreted? I don’t think so.

Barack Obama March 23 at 12:53PM President Obama Signs “Big FUCKing Deal” Into Big FUCKking Law
June 2, 2010 by Michael Lockheart · Leave a Comment
And that’s how a bill becomes a law…
With the stroke of President Obama’s pen, his health care overhaul — the most sweeping social legislation enacted in decades — became law on Tuesday.
Mr. Obama affixed his curlicue signature, almost letter by letter, to the measure, the Affordable Health Care for America Act, during a ceremony in the East Room of the White House, surrounded by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid and a raft of other lawmakers who spent the past year on a legislative roller-coaster ride trying to pass it. Aides said he would pass out the 20 pens he used as mementos.
Ooooo! Commemorative pens! I bet those’ll be worth something one day. Democrats can probably sell those for rent money after they lose their jobs next election cycle.
But what is a means of making a living compared to the importance of this moment. I mean, this is a big deal. Some people might even call it a big, very big deal. And some people as eloquent as Joe Biden might even call it “a big fucking deal” on national television…

“Oba Mao” T-Shirts a Hit in Communist China
December 29, 2009 by Michael Lockheart · Leave a Comment
This is kind of heartwarming. It looks like even the most xenophobic of American teabaggers have something in common with the average citizen of communist China…
The Chinese have learned English from his speeches and celebrated the way he rolls up his sleeves. Now President Barack Obama is finally coming, and he’s being greeted with “Oba Mao” T-shirts and a statue of him that bursts into flames…
One Beijing shop owner wanted to see what Obama could do for sales. Liu Mingjie created “Oba Mao” T-shirts, with the president wearing the uniform of the Red Guards, who caused chaos during the Cultural Revolution in the 1960s…
He sold hundreds of the shirts, to both foreigners and Chinese, until authorities told shops selling the shirts to stop.
It’s so sweet to see such disparate groups of people finding some common ground, huh?
But, let’s for a minute get back to that burning statue of Obama? How’d they get away with that in such a totalitarian state? We can’t even burn Nancy Pelosi over here.
